Business & Institutions
Phillips West is
the site of many major institutions including the American Swedish Institute, the Wells Fargo Home Mortgage Campus, the Ebenezer Minneapolis Campus, the Phillips Eye Institute, Open Eye Theater, Urban Ventures, Saint Mary's University, Lutheran Social Services Center for Changing Lives, Christo Rey Jesuit High School, Hope Academy, Augsburg Fairview Academy, Abbott Northwestern Hospital, Childrens Minnesota Medical Center, and several religious congregations. In addition, Phillips West is home to numerous small businesses, particularly along Lake Street.

(Note: interested in helping PWNO compile a neighborhood business and resource directory? Email info@phillipswest.org to get connected to this emerging project!)

In addition to existing assets, neighbors recognize that Phillips West faces a lack of public green space, grocery stores, and spaces for gathering. The Phillips West Community Garden is one small piece of addressing this neighborhood need! (Got ideas for increasing our neighborhood access to public open space? Reach out!)
